Reservoir Size:
This is a fresh water lake/reservoir of 25.30 acres.
SolarBee Installation:
Date: 5/20/2006 Installed 1 SB10000v12 unit in lake. On 3/1/2007 an additional SB5000v12 was installed on south side of island, opposite of current SolarBee. On 10/25/2007 the SB10000 was removed and converted to SB7500 and re-installed in the lake. On 1/23/2009 an additional SB7500v12 and 1 SB10000v12 units were installed to improve over all effectiveness in both hypolimnetic and epilimnetic results
Project Objectives:
Objective: Epilimnetic machine - To provide long-distance circulation to control harmful blue-green algae blooms. Hypolimnetic machine - To provide long distance circulation to improve dissolved oxygen levels deep in the reservoir.
